Susan Eleanor Rowe is from Dayton, Ohio. She developed an interest in psychology, philosophy and religion in a quest to find answers about life. After attending college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1965 she hitchhiked across country with college friends to San Francisco. She lived in the Haight Asbury during the 60's and found herself part of a counterculture that would change her life and the world. The experiences were both thrilling and heartbreaking. Continuing her journey she later moved to the mountains of Northern California and migrated in steps to Mount Vernon, Washington.
